Willow Behaviour Support
Behaviour is a form of communication and it carries meaning. Our role is to walk alongside you and your family, offering care and support as we work together to understand what your child is expressing. With compassion at the heart of our approach, we’ll guide you through effective strategies for positive change, growing and learning together along the way.
My Approach
☻
About Me
Hello, I’m Emma, and I have over 15 years of experience as a child behaviour specialist. Willow Behaviour is based in Ballina, Co. Mayo, and also offers support throughout Mayo and Sligo, as well as nationwide online support.
Alongside my work in Ireland, I bring 10 years of experience from Canada, where I was Program Director in a learning centre supporting 60 students with neurodiverse needs, ranging in age from 6 to 18. In this role, I created and tailored behaviour support plans for each student and oversaw their successful implementation. I also managed a team of 20 staff, providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to ensure the highest quality of care.
This combination of international experience and local expertise enables me to provide families, schools, and professionals with a well-rounded, practical, and compassionate approach to addressing children’s behavioural needs.
❋
Experience
Supporting children and families has been at the heart of my work for over 15 years. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Studies and Education, and a Degree in Social Care Work. I am currently in my last year of completing my Master’s in Applied Behaviour Analysis. My experience spans working with children with a wide range of neurodiverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). etc
